In this role, you will be responsible for driving key data initiatives including data modeling, migration, security implementation, and governance across various projects. You will also be involved in data integration, scalability planning, and providing testing support to ensure robust data systems and solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to presales activities and entry-level data science projects. Key Responsibilities: Data Modeling: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data models to support analytics systems. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data structures by following best practices in data architecture. Data Migration: Lead and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to modern platforms. Security Implementation: Implement data security solutions and policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Data Integration: Design and build data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow between internal and external systems. Monitor integration processes and troubleshoot issues to maintain data consistency and accuracy. Testing Support: Provide support for testing data systems, ensuring accurate and thorough validation of data transformations, migrations, and integrations. Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve data-related issues. Scalability Planning: Develop and implement strategies to ensure data solutions can scale efficiently with growing datasets and business requirements. Proactively identify bottlenecks and design solutions to address them. Monitoring and Alerts Implementation: Set up and configure monitoring tools and alerts to ensure data systems are functioning optimally. Continuously improve monitoring processes to detect anomalies and minimize system downtime. Data Governance Assessments and Recommendations: Conduct data governance assessments to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with policies. Provide actionable recommendations to improve data governance frameworks and processes. Data Science Entry-Level Projects Implementation: Support and contribute to entry-level data science projects, leveraging statistical models and machine learning techniques. Work closely with data science teams to ensure smooth implementation of projects. Presales Activities: Assist in presales activities by providing technical expertise on data solutions. Work closely with sales teams to demonstrate the value of data solutions to potential clients. What we need to see from you Data engineer with more than 6 years of professional commercial experience in building databases (preferable Azure stack) Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL databases, Azure Synapse, SQL Server Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Analysis Services, Azure Analysis Services, Microsoft Fabric Very good knowledge of performance tuning, scalability, database architecture, migration approach, security aspects Theoretical knowledge of other than Microsoft databases Good knowledge of one of the following: Python, Scala Basic knowledge related to OpenAI (preferable implementation experience) Ability to work in a team. Theoretical Data Governance knowledge Willingness to take participation in pre-sales activities.
