We are seeking an experienced professional to elevate our data governance maturity and lead our data team's project management portfolio. We are looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst with extensive Project Management Lead experience in Microsoft Purview and a proven track record in driving strategic data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, project management, and team leadership to spearhead our data governance framework and manage our data team's project portfolio.

Data Governance Leadership
+ Develops, implements, and oversees comprehensive data governance strategies, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance across the organization.
+ Leads cross-functional collaboration efforts to align data governance initiatives with business objectives and ensure organization-wide adoption.
+ Drives the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Purview and other advanced data management tools to maintain and enhance the organization's data framework.
+ Designs and delivers executive-level training programs on data governance best practices and their impact on business outcomes.
+ Conducts regular audits and assessments of data governance initiatives, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Data Project Portfolio Management
+ Leads and oversees the entire project management portfolio for the data team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and data governance principles.
+ Develops and implement project management methodologies tailored to data-centric initiatives.
+ Manages resource allocation, timelines, and budgets for multiple concurrent data projects.
+ Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) for data projects and regularly report on progress to stakeholders.
+ Identifies and mitigates risks associated with data projects, ensuring successful delivery and implementation.
Strategic Master Data Management
+ Architects and implements enterprise-wide master data management strategies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of critical data across all systems and departments.
+ Leads complex data integration initiatives, ensuring standardization and alignment with organizational policies and industry best practices.
+ Establishes robust quality assurance frameworks for ongoing data quality management, including advanced cleansing and validation techniques.
+ Collaborates with C-level executives to define and implement master data requirements that drive business value and competitive advantage.
+ Evaluates, recommend, and implement cutting-edge MDM tools and technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems like Microsoft Purview.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):
+ Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s Degree strongly preferred
+ 10 years proven experience in Sr. level role(s) as a Data Governance Analyst or equivalent
+ Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
+ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Experience from various organizational sizes is welcome.
+ Project and Program Management expertise
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Purview and other relevant data management tools.
+ Strong project management abilities.
+ Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
+ Understanding of regulatory compliance related to data governance.
