We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Data Governance Resilience Manager.

Principal responsibilities
You’ll be leading the charge on initiatives to develop forward-thinking approaches that ensure we not only mitigate today’s risks but anticipate tomorrow’s challenges. You will need to:
• Liaise with control owners, Data Utility Office, GB/GF/Entity Data teams, and other stakeholders to manage DBS data risks, apply policies for the use of data across jurisdictions, and record mitigations as appropriate
• Oversee data controls implementation, compliance, and remediation for Data DBS, working with representatives as needed to ensure compliance with HSBC policies and procedures, including regulatory requirements
• Identify control gaps and synergies to enable a connected controls ecosystem for more comprehensive data protection
• Connect with data owners and subject matter experts to understand data context and ensure correct interpretation
• Connect with business stakeholders to understand use cases and ensure that deliverables are aligned to business needs
• Work with subject matter experts, business representatives, and data owners to create meaningful narratives which connect data in new and relevant ways to enable robust decision-making
• Critically assess available information and identify patterns in data that unlock new opportunities
• Support teams in quickly iterating through options to design and build products that work
• Help to create compelling and exciting visualisations of new data to provide material insights that capture attention and inspire action
• Ensure trusted data sourcing and high data quality standards to provide reliable and robust insights
• Coordinate delivery and dependencies between risk and resilience projects and other relevant programmes / initiatives
