Candidate Should be passionate about data and data platform technologies and has a proven track record of leveraging them to drive solutions that enable development teams. The ideal candidate should have a background in technical leadership with experience in leading teams in a wide variety of technologies. This role will lead a team that provides an efficient and performant data platform that delivers reliable and consistent data to our internal and external customers. Leading a team of Data Platform Engineers and Data Platform Architects, you will oversee a modern technology stack, including but not limited to Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, Tableau, PowerBI, Airflow , tools for domain modeling and API generation, and customer-facing data management products etc. This role will play a significant role in our digital transformation programs, such as IOT, Connected Products, Cloud migration acceleration, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. You will partner with various stakeholders and teams of IT experts to provide standards and best practices on data platforms used across the enterprise, as well as partnering with our internal Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Integration, and Cloud teams to ensure these standards are followed. This role must balance technical leadership and people management skills while empowering the team to deliver best-in-class operational support and data solutions.

JOB DUTIES:

Select, implement, and operationalize Resideo's data platforms and analytical technologies Monitor and optimize platform operational cost Manage platforms to meet or exceed service level agreement Develop and manage road maps for data and analytics technology life cycle management Execute proof of concepts and/or technology capabilities demonstration projectsp Provide technical guidance for integration, testing, design, development, planning and analysis of new data technologies Create run books and knowledge bases for platform operations team Create data platform policies, procedures, and usage guidelines Provide audit & compliance support Participate in Data Engineering, Data Integration, and Data Pipeline implementation on the data platforms as needed Work closely with enterprise architects and solutions architects to design end to end data solutions and products Hire and manage managers, technical leaders, and individual engineers Manage onshore and offshore platform teams

YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelors or master's degree in computer science or related field 10+ years’ experience in RDBMS, Data Warehouse systems, Data Lake, and BI solutions, including working with tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau 3+ years’ hands-on public cloud experience preferred, including experience with technologies and tools such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Configuration Management, and Provisioning Automation
