Position: Senior Data Scientist

Duties: Designs effective prompts for Generative AI solutions, optimizes them through iterative testing and refinement, and collaborates with subject matter experts to incorporate domain-specific requirements into prompt design. Performs comprehensive hyperparameter tuning and model fine-tuning to optimize Generative AI and Machine Learning models for specific tasks or domains, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy. Develops and maintains robust APIs or interfaces for seamless integration of Generative AI solutions into existing systems or applications, facilitating smooth data flow and interoperability. Designs, implements, and deploys machine learning models for various business applications, such as markdown optimization, leveraging cloud platforms for scalability and efficiency. Develops continually learning systems that can learn from errors and directly impact business KPIs, enabling accurate predictions and driving tangible business value. Research’s, designs, and implements sophisticated data models and cutting-edge algorithms to effectively handle structured and unstructured data, unlocking insights from complex datasets. Leverages data mining and machine learning techniques to analyze and extract valuable insights from large, complex datasets, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic planning. Builds and ensures the accuracy of datasets for analysis and modeling, establishing a solid foundation for reliable insights and predictions. Creates compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards for effective monitoring and sharing of insights internally and externally, facilitating data-driven communication and collaboration. Conducts in-depth analyses and delivers structured findings to business partners, providing actionable recommendations and driving informed decision-making. Develops creative data science solutions to reduce costs and meet business goals within specific business areas, leveraging data-driven approaches to drive efficiency and profitability. Stays up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in Machine Learning and Generative AI, proactively exploring opportunities to incorporate new techniques or architectures into existing solutions, ensuring cutting-edge capabilities. Acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by gathering requirements, understanding domain knowledge, and translating business objectives into well-defined problem statements that can be effectively addressed through data-driven solutions.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience coding scalable, object-oriented solutions in Python and shell scripting. Experience with data science and analytical techniques. Experience using deep learning frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Experience with data mining techniques and algorithms. Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks including PySpark. Experience with cloud platforms and services including GCP and Azure. Experience in SQL and database management systems. Experience working on natural language processing (NLP) and text mining techniques. Experience in Hyper parameter tuning of models to improve accuracies. Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation tools including Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Experience with advanced statistical methods including hypothesis testing, or time series forecasting to analyze and derive insights and predict from data. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $138,911/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
