Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data scientist to join our team. As a data scientist, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and extracting valuable insights to drive business strategies and decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design and implement analytical solutions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources. Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships in the data. Develop and implement predictive models using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms. Conduct feature engineering, including feature selection, transformation, and creation. Evaluate model performance and optimize models for accuracy, precision, recall, or other relevant metrics. Collaborate with domain experts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop data-driven solutions. Deploy models into production systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Communicate complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders through data visualizations, reports, and presentations. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and apply them to solve business challenges. Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the data science team.Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related disciplines. Proven experience as a data scientist, with a track record of delivering successful data-driven solutions. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn). In-depth knowledge of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms (e.g., linear regression, decision trees, random forests, neural networks). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, matplotlib, ggplot). Proficiency in SQL and working with databases. Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: 115,000 to 160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take the time needed for either sick time or vacation.
