Therefore, our systems are responsible for collecting transactions from different account management systems, creating reports based on our client needs and delivering those reports to the client using a variety of channels.

The team

WB TS Reporting & Cards area teams are responsible for Global Customer Reporting Platform (GCRP) services delivery, where GCRP is the future-proof platform for TS Reporting to ING WB customers.

Next to developing and operating a stable existing Live product platform, migration is in progress to Java based (as ING target technology) new platform to fulfill the needs for the future due to the continuous growth of importance of our product.

You will work in the dynamic and challenging environment. We operate according to a Scrum development process with two-week sprints and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to delivering IT solutions. We strive to have high-quality mission-critical software delivered in time using iterative development. We have regular milestone reviews with stakeholders following the ING’s agile way of working.

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic senior Database engineer:

A team player that is passionate, focused on quality and continuous improvement and proud of what delivers.You are able to design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain high-quality software solutions.You are able to challenge the status quo and offer improvements that lead to higher quality/ease of use/maintainability/etc.Strong skills in reverse engineering and ability to create comprehensive documentation of its functionality.Experience and abilities in coaching and mentoring other squad members, including providing guidance, sharing knowledge and promoting a cooperative team environment.How to succeed

Master or bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field.Proven track record of experience to write and analyze complex PL-SQL, tuning and optimizing queries.Experience with Oracle 12c or greater.Experience with writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)Experience with Oracle Apex is a plus.Experience with writing Unit, Integration, Regression testing preferably in Cucumber.Knowledge of continuous delivery using tools such as AzureDevOps or similarExperience of working on DBA activities would be a plus. Should be able to identify and implement improvements required in Database.You have a pro-active and hands-on attitude; you speak up about your ideas.Good communication skills in EnglishYour behavior matches our Orange Code.Experience with monitoring and alerting (Prometheus/Grafana)Basic Linux commands and bash scripting
