The Senior Decision Support Analyst provides financial and operational analysis, to assist in business decisions, identify issues, and support all levels of management throughout University Hospital. This position will maintain University Hospital’s decision support systems, including the cost accounting, contract management, and data analytics applications, ensuring effective and timely updates of applications and data. In addition, this position will perform data integrity analysis, and develop dashboards and reports to measure and trend key performance metrics and present results in an analytical manner. Reports to the Manager of Decision Support and collaborates closely with other members of the HealthCare Finance team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business or a related field required. Four (4) years of finance experience is required, three (3) of which include healthcare. Experience in decision support and managed care environment with demonstrated ability to resolve problems accurately and expeditiously is preferred. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of healthcare terminology, reimbursement and cost, and the ability to produce meaningful reports is critical. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Access, and technical knowledge of a decision support systems such as Performance Manager is preferred. Demonstrated communications skills (verbal and written) and demonstrated ability to work well with others, even under deadline pressures, required. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
