How will your role look like?
The Design Delivery Specialist partners with Design and multi-discipline internal/external partners on packaging artwork projects throughout the design development and design execution. Responsible for enabling design intent realization, ensuring technical fit-for-use and print feasibility, leads design intent implementation and ensures quality and consistent visual execution across all product forms and variants in packaging.
This role requires a fundamental understanding of design, brand identity and design standards/guidelines, combined with understanding of standard industry pre-press & printing knowledge, materials & substrates, and artwork file construction/ requirements. Strong, proven leadership, communication, collaboration, influencing, and project management skills required.
Main ResponsibilitiesImplement 2D package design executions with mastery, working with multifunctional (internal & external) initiative teamsApplying deep understanding of supply chain fit-for-use requirements, pre-press & printing, and print feasibility to ensure design intent realization.Partner with pre-press & printers and Design Delivery resources to assess print feasibility of design concepts, identify alternate solutions, plan & attend print trials, confirm final design intent print feasibility, ensure visual consistency delivered at shelf, and resolve quality issuesPlan and manage design execution work and critical path schedule, owns elevating issues, with implications, to key business partners, at-the-right-time, to enable informed decision-making and effective resolution, and drive timely/on-quality artwork file deliveryManage multiple design projects simultaneously within WebCenter, a graphics lifecycle management tool. Provides low-level support regarding WebCenter to the multi-functional team.Deliver Core Packaging Work, utilizing BIC processes, technology, tools.Independently and collaboratively bring innovative ideas/search & reapply learning that drive continual improvements in quality, productivity and efficiency.Proactively explore both cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities. Able to accurately measure all Design Delivery metrics on a quarterly/annual basis.Build capability & mastery in self and Design delivery community, and actively drive organization/company process transformation effortsFoster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages creative and problem-solvingJob Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Design-related fieldEnglish proficiency, verbal and written.Experience in design production and printing (Design Agency, Pre-Press Agency, Production House, Printer) within the CPG industry (preferred). Understanding of graphic file construction within Illustrator & Photoshop.Deep understanding of pre-press and printing and artwork file industry standards, print production, print processes and press capabilities, inks, materials/substrates, specialty inks/finishes, proofing, and print trials.Understanding of the color management, color development process, spectral color data and digital proofing. Munsell Test score of ‘Average Discrimination’ minimum, ‘Superior Discrimination’ preferred.Strong understanding of brand architecture, design language/identity systems, equity assets and application of design principles to achieve visual consistency.We feel you will be an excellent fit here if you:
