Join us. **Job Summary:** Champions technical analysis of manufacturing processes in all aspects of production, costs, quality, safety, and environmental compliance requirements for heat treat processes. Individual will be working with primarily Caterpillar Under Carriage Products. **What You Will Do:** • Researching new materials and competitive products. Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes. • Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance. Overseeing the efforts of drafting and testing specialists. • Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents. • Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports. Understanding and use of Microsoft Products (Word / Excel / One Note / Teams / Outlook) Create and manage PPAPS from start to finish Create and update documentation consistent with job requirements (CP, PF, PFMEA, SW) **Top Candidates will also have** + Previous heat treat experience with carburizing, induction and nitriding. + Advanced understanding of heat-treat process controls. + Advanced knowledge of FMEA's, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Error Proofing, Root Cause Analysis and Process Analytics. + 5+ years’ progressive project and/or process improvement experience + Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and project planning skills. **Additional Information** The location for this position is East Peoria, IL.
