Senior Design (Frontend) Engineer, Remote
The Senior Design Engineer is a key member of the Experience Design and Research (XDR) team at Aledade, supporting our Design Systems & Infrastructure group. Our multidisciplinary XDR team accelerates the ability of primary care practices to improve health outcomes for their patients by equipping them with thoughtfully crafted technology. We ensure that the design of Aledade products & services consider the needs of clinicians, practice staff, internal Aledade teams, and patients, fitting within their existing environments and workflows. 
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in accelerating the product development work of Aledade’s design and engineering teams via contributions to our design system, improvements to the front-end infrastructure of the Aledade App, and consulting and mentoring on front-end best practices. Your work will be guided by our core values of community, joy, evidence-based experiences, inclusive design, sustainability, and exploration. You’ll collaborate regularly with other members of our Experience Design & Research team, engineering teams across the company, and key product, technology, and business stakeholders. Primary Duties: Drive improvements in the quality, usability, and accessibility of the Aledade App through code and documentation contributions to the Design System  Identify, plan, and execute initiatives that improve front-end app infrastructure while helping to strengthen and steward foundational libraries, tools, & systemsSelectively partner with individual delivery teams to support critical product launches leveraging the Aledade Design System and related front-end toolingBuild and maintain strong relationships across engineer teams, acting as a facilitator of improvements to documentation, governance, and accessibilityConsult with, train, and mentor engineers on best practice use of the Aledade design system and related front-end infrastructureMinimum Qualifications:BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field4+ years experience as an engineer building full-stack web applications as part of a cross-functional team3+ years of experience working with front-end engineering languages, frameworks, and tools including Vue, Storybook, TypeScript, etc.2+ years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting, solving for short-term and long-term business value2+ years of experience coaching other engineersPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:Experience working in complex and or highly regulated industries such as healthcareFamiliarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment(CI/CD) pipelinesProven experience building for, or identifying and implementing accessibility improvements in line with the WCAG 2.0 AA standardExperience with security and systems that handle sensitive dataFamiliarity with Figma, Jira, and other tools that streamline designer to engineer handoff and improve the developer experience of implementing design prototypes in code Who We Are:Aledade, a public benefit corporation, exists to empower the most transformational part of our health care landscape - independent primary care.
