**Major/Essential Functions:**
As Senior Graphic Designer you will design and produce collateral and advertisements for Texas Tech University. You will be a self-starter who is ready and willing to push the brand creative to new heights. Texas Tech Marketing and Communications is a fast-paced team of people willing to push each other creatively and professionally. The ideal candidate possesses a strong conceptual ability, is an expert problem-solver, with excellent design fundamentals. You should have a proven track record of success in an agency or other in-house design or creative team setting. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to be pushed creatively, while maintaining brand standards, and delivering stellar designs in timely fashion.
+ Design and production of print publications; print and digital advertisements; social media graphics, and multimedia design assets.
+ Ensure quality and accuracy of work. Including producing proof copies for review and revising materials according to feedback while consistently meeting stated project deadlines.
+ Actively participate in creative brief meetings including brainstorming sessions and critiques. Bring strong ideas and concepts to creative meetings.
+ Ensure university-approved branding guidelines are utilized in all projects.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Five or more years of related experience.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
+ Ability to work with clients
+ Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to multi-task while still adhering to design principles
+ Portfolio showcasing professional graphic design work
+ Awareness of current trends in branding and design
+ Ability to problem-solve and be solutions oriented
+ An understanding of material costs and time limits
+ Ability to skill-share
+ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite-including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
+ Experience designing for print and digital platforms
+ Experience editing photography
+ Design and production experience
+ Experience working with print and design vendors.
+ Plan and organize effectively, prioritize goals, use time efficiently, stay on task, meet deadlines.
+ Deliver clear written and verbal communications to aid in team communications,
+ Establish and maintain effective work relationships.
