What are we looking for?
We are looking for a skilled Detection Engineer to join our Malware Detection Team (MDT) which is responsible for Windows, Linux and Mac malware endpoint and cloud detections. We’re looking for someone who can use his software development skills & automation expertise for creating solutions with a strong focus on malware detection and response. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who has passion for scaling the detection solutions with creative automations and using the ML/AI technologies to enhance the detection productivity. This person will have a deep impact on the overall productivity of the entire team and workflows and hence will be an integral part of the deliverables of the team.What would you do?
You will be creating and implementing automation tools and solutions for detections, related testing, deployment, and telemetry analysis. You will be working on the latest technologies to provide state of the art detection infrastructure & capabilities. You will be the owner of the continuous integration and continuous delivery infrastructure of the team and responsible for the deployments of the detection assets and keeping the pipeline smooth. Collaborate with the R&D team to provide self-service tools and automation for improving productivity of the entire team. You’ll be working closely with other detection teams to ensure our customers get the best security products they can. Your time will be mostly focused on detection engineering and malware detection workflows.
What experience or knowledge should you bring?
Minimum 3 years of experience in detection engineering, DevOps and automation. Basic understanding of malware world/families and their functionalities for at least one of the operating Windows/Linux/Mac. Software Engineering: Experience in building software solutions for malware detection and analysis. This may include GitHub projects and open source contribution to the community. CI/CD Expertise: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Groovy, or similar for automation tasks. Jenkins Pipelines: Strong knowledge of Jenkins, including declarative and scripted pipelines, and the ability to create and manage complex build and deployment jobs. GitHub Workflows: Proficiency in setting up and managing GitHub workflows, including Actions, for automating CI/CD processes. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Advantages Understanding of existing AV/EDR internals and detection mechanisms Prior knowledge of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for Malware classification.Why us?
