JOB DESCRIPTION-
Candidate will be a critical member of the Corporate Functions IT team, focusing on initiatives sponsored by Client Human Resources business partners.
The senior developer will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of enhancements to an internally developed application used for managing the annual compensation management process. This includes adding new functionality and providing custom reporting and analytics using collected data. The application is written using Microsoft application development platforms (.NET, C#) with a SQL Server back-end database. This role may also include staff and project management responsibilities and coordination.
Job Duties:
• Serves as the senior technical resource on these projects including providing direction to junior staff and reporting progress and status to project leads
• Oversee all design and implementations of enhancements, bug fixes, reports, etc. including analysis and documentation
• Work with business analysts to understand business and functional requirements and translate into technical design specifications
• Follow project management and SDLC disciplines to insure structured and effective implementations
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to junior development resources on .Net development, SQL databases, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain accurate documentation for assigned projects
Requirements & Preferred Skills:
• Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a senior developer in a corporate environment.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with web-based Microsoft development platforms (.NET 4.0 Framework or above using C#)
• Minimum 8 years of experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
• Minimum 8 years of experience using a formal Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies preferred
• Experience with Human Resource Information Systems preferred
• Experience with Telerik controls preferred
• Experience interfacing with web services and establishing secure data connections with external partners
• Experience using Microsoft VBA a plus
• Ability to work with multicultural teams and geographically dispersed teams in multiple time zones
• Relevant software skills, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and Visio.
• Ability to articulate ideas to all levels of management, and to technical staff.
• Ability to be a team player, and apply logical temperament, organizational skills and sound leadership
• Strong verbal/written communications skills and problem solving abilities
Education:
• Undergraduate degree a must. Graduate degree is a plus.
