Summary:
SAP aims to develop an Open Reference Architecture (ApeiroRA) for a secure and sustainable cloud edge infrastructure that includes intelligent optimization methods for data transparency and security. This reference infrastructure, aspired by the EU IPCEI-CIS (Important Project of Common European Interest – Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services) program, shall be the basis for future software development and a prerequisite for a pan-European cloud edge infrastructure.
SAP will be working on the publicly funded project with both experienced employees from its existing workforce but also new hires. Therefore, we are looking for suitable candidates. If you are interested in Cloud Operating System development and operation, the usage and further development of Open-Source solutions and standards, interoperability, efficiency, and sustainability you should consider applying.
The Role:
We, the Deploy with Confidence team in Walldorf and Potsdam, are seeking a talented senior developer with excellent knowledge in Node.js, Go and/or Java. If you are interested in using the latest concepts of cloud development, such as microservices, Kubernetes, and service mesh, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact at SAP.
As a senior developer for Deploy with Confidence, you will design and develop solutions for SAP's most critical technical challenges. Working within an agile development team, you will have the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art technology to address these challenges. We expect you to collaborate closely within the team, while also being able to drive topics independently. Moreover, we expect enthusiasm for learning about new technologies and evaluating how they can contribute within the context of our applications.

Deploy with Confidence (DwC) is an integrated toolchain for feature-driven development of microservice-based SAP SaaS applications. The capabilities DwC provides include, but are not limited to, feature toggle management, tenant lifecycle management, and true-zero downtime enablement. Additionally, DwC offers benefits, such as numerous inner source contributions, and it serves as an integral part of the BTP Developer’s Guide. Currently, 44 cloud applications, totaling approximately 185 development teams, use DwC.
