What you`ll do

As a Senior Developer in the ABAP Connectivity you will be designing, implementing, and supporting functionalities for the integration of ABAP-based systems in SAP Datasphere. You will be working alongside other young early talents as well as senior colleagues in a diverse scrum team collaborating with teams from our area worldwide. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle from discussing requirements to design, architecture, implementation, and quality assurance. While you will be working in a highly dynamic environment to deliver the next important features and to support our customers in their critical business processes, all colleagues are highly supportive, and we solve all issues – technical or organizational – as a team. Since we have many customers with complex scenarios, you will actively participate in support and drive incident resolution together with the development support.

What you bring

•    University degree in computer science or related fields (BSc / MSc)
•    2-3+ years of relevant development experience in the ABAP OO language
•    Proven track record in implementing performance critical applications and functionality, efficient programming, debugging and performance analysis
•    Experience in SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server is a strong plus
•    Proficiency with relational databases, preferably SAP HANA
•    A good understanding of agile development processes
•    Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and be able to communicate effectively
•    You have a “Can do” attitude with clear customer focus
•    Experiences in technical customer support (level 2/3) is a plus
•    Work experience in international and distributed teams
•    Very good English skills (verbal and written)

Meet your team

The ABAP Connectivity Team builds functionality to replicate data for various scenarios involving ABAP-based SAP systems as well as native databases. These scenarios include traditional landscape transformation projects involving the real-time replication of data to SAP HANA using the SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server as well as integrating data from SAP S/4HANA systems using SAP Datasphere. The team is part of the department SAP Datasphere Integration Services and follows the SCRUM methodology. The team is based in Walldorf and collaborates with other teams of the department located in China, Brazil, and USA.
