Job overview and responsibilities
As part of the Airport Experience team, this individual will work very closely to support and enhance various applications that helps serving millions of customers at the airport. The Manager will apply proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, resolve issues, find opportunities of improvement.
Supervise a team of United developers and vendors (onshore and offshore)Lead the design, development, and planning for solutions and technology standards to solve complex business and IT problems Hands-on development, support and troubleshooting software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutionsResponsible for communication of progress to senior IT and Business leadershipDevelop goals and team development plan for the teamProvide cost estimates and business case updates Coordinate with other internal teams for troubleshooting and resolution of any application issues Responsible for software development during the design/build phases of the SDLCPerform as technical lead on development projectsDemonstrate exceptional knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cyclesParticipate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirementsResponsible for making sure in-progress builds follow the approved designsProvides support to the engineers, architects, during design, implementation, and operationalization at airports.Participates actively in Agile ceremonies and provide updates.Demonstrate knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: version controlling, software packaging and software release managementTask Planning, delivery tracking, reportingDevelop, Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, help optimizing performance, analyzing & resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions according to the ITSM practicesCoordination with other enterprise teamsResource Management, onboarding, continuous learning
