Senior Developer/ Team Lead
Join us in building a cutting-edge system powered by ATSC 3.0; a next-generation broadcasting standard that is revolutionizing the way data is delivered. We are looking for a Sr. Developer / Team Lead to join the group. This role provides the unique opportunity to work on a system that:


• Leverages ATSC 3.0 for high-bandwidth, broadcast-based data delivery, enabling new applications in IoT, automotive, emergency services, and smart cities.
• Combines traditional IP-based networks with broadcast technology, creating innovative hybrid delivery models.
• Handles massive-scale data distribution with ultra-low latency, making information accessible even in bandwidth-constrained environments.
• Pushes the boundaries of content and data distribution, shaping the future of connected devices and digital ecosystems.

We are looking for a Senior Developer / Team Lead who combines strong hands-on technical expertise with leadership skills to drive the success of our engineering team. This role requires both coding and leadership—you will design, develop, and deploy scalable systems while mentoring and guiding the team.


The ideal candidate has experience in system architecture, microservices, databases, REST APIs, and full-stack development using Node.js, React, Java, and related technologies.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems (microservices, databases, APIs).
• Make strategic decisions on technology, architecture, and infrastructure.
• Ensure best practices in software development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and enforce quality standards.


Hands-On Development:
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across backend (Java, Node.js) and frontend (React).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for scalable data storage solutions.
• Implement security, authentication, and performance optimizations.


Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, ensuring a culture of excellence.
• Work closely with CTO and other stakeholders to define and execute development roadmaps.
• Drive agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and manage project timelines.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.


Requirements
Technical Skills:
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Java, React, TypeScript and related frameworks.
• Expertise in designing and building scalable microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL (ex. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (ex. MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and API security best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS is preferred).
• Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.


Leadership & Soft Skills:
• Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Ability to balance hands-on development and team management effectively.


Nice to Have:
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Experience working with international teams or distributed engineering teams.


Education:
• A minimum of a B.S. in engineering or science is desired. Preferred fields include computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering (with a focus on system design and analysis), applied mathematics, or applied physics. \

• While certifications are not mandatory, candidates holding one or more relevant certifications will be given preference.
