Job Summary:
The Senior Development Associate will be responsible for corporate and agency-focused fundraising- identifying, engaging, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding current and prospective corporate donors and focused collaboration on system wide donors. The Senior Development Associate will supervise Campaign Associate(s) reporting to this position.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement fundraising strategies.
+ Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders.
+ Organize and manage fundraising campaigns.
+ Supervise the staff assigned to report to this role.
+ Oversee donor recognition programs.
+ Analyze and report on fundraising performance and metrics.
+ Develop and manage fundraising budgets.
+ Identify and research potential funding sources.
+ Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and boards.
+ Secure annual, capital and legacy gifts from a portfolio of prospects.
+ May serve as liaison to one or more Federation agencies.
+ Donor stewardship.
+ Prepare all fundraising plans and ensure compliance with all company strategies. Monitor all associate fundraising activities and perform research on various projects to prepare projections for revenue.
+ Assist to promote agency(s) to various prospective and existing donors and prepare effective programs and strategies to identify all fundraising activities.
+ Work closely with Marketing team to develop materials directed at individual donors/prospects, such as highly personalized proposals that are in line with donor interests and programmatic priorities.
+ Write content for direct mail and stories in the Voice, etc.
+ Assist in other financial development projects as assigned.
Required Skills:
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ Experience working in non-profit management desired.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills. Visual communications a strong plus.
+ Event planning skills a plus: demonstrated attention to detail in a relevant context a must.
+ Fundraising or nonprofit experience plus strong project management skills are preferred.
+ Proficient in MS office applications.
+ Comfortable with using customer relationship management databases.
+ Ability to plan and manage own workflow, priorities and results accomplished.
+ Requires the ability to present and disseminate data to various levels
Technical Skills:
+ Ability to perform work that is routine with strong attention to details
+ Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
+ Excellent project management, customer service, organization, and time management skills.
