Essential Duties/Responsibilities:  

Enable global introductions and transfers into production environmentRapidly deploy new products and processes in line with The Right FITTManage and control the adoption and existence of best practices in common factory approach organizationEffectively operate lab, pilot, and/or production equipmentLead technical activities related to new product development efforts from tool design through prototype delivery and production planningAnalyze / interpret inspection data for process and tool optimizationRepresent GTC Development Engineering/Operations in front of customers (external and internal customers)Responsible for design for manufacturing reviews and PFMEA effortsIdentify manufacturing resource requirements and prepare plans for product and process realizationAssure proper process control documentation and lessons learned information is generated for assigned projectsDevelop and execute manufacturing qualification plans for process validationParticipate in cross functional teams as Development Engineering technical expertInstruct, coach, and/or train other team membersProvide guidance to staff or other functions on complex technical issues

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: Bachelors of Science in Engineering or appropriate technical field. M.S. in Engineering preferred

Skills and Experience: 

10+ years’ experience developing & validating new manufacturing processesExtensive technical background with experience in a manufacturing environmentThorough understanding of GD&T principlesStrong knowledge of SPC software & analysis methodsExtensive experience leading cultural change through lean tools and conceptsSix Sigma Black Belt certification preferredStrong computer literacy, especially in MS OfficeExperience with 3-D modeling tools such as Solid WorksAbility to use measurement instruments/ hand toolsExperience leading and executing FMEAs with ability to train others on FMEA methodologyPossess presentation skills to communicate both complex technical and business themes to a variety of audiences
