Senior Development Manager, Strategic Partnerships

CAMBA’s Department of Strategic Partnerships cultivates relationships with funders, stakeholders, and community members in order to support CAMBA’s growth and high-quality programming.  The Department includes Development, Institutional Giving, and Marketing & Communications.   Position: Senior Development Manager Reports To: Development Director Location: 1720 Church Ave Brooklyn NY 11226 (Hybrid Position) What The Senior Development Manager Does: Project and Event Management + Plan and execute fundraising annual gala, annual race and other events including day-to-day operations and logistics from inception to event completion (vendor management, scheduling, administrative tasks, etc.) + Identify and cultivate corporate partnership opportunities with local businesses, schools, civic groups, and other organizations to support engagement efforts, including volunteer service days and events. + Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship events. + Manage fundraising initiatives including appeals, end of year campaign, digital and peer to peer fundraising efforts. + Develop and maintain volunteer management system. + Manage volunteer events and activities with goal to convert volunteers to donors. + Create and manage multi-channel donor appeals. Donor Relations + Support Development Director in assessment of major donor prospects provided by the Database and Operations Manager. + Work with Development Director and relevant program staff to develop relationships and a pipeline of major gift prospects. + Update and maintain CRM with relevant donor details such as giving priorities and cultivation strategies. + Manage donor cultivation and stewardship activities such as small events, donor newsletters and other donor communication. Collaboration and Communication + In collaboration with Development Director, assist with the execution of the annual development plan. + Collaborate with Communications team to develop and implement a donor communication strategy to include both print and digital communications (including, but not limited to newsletters, brochures, presentations, information flyers, target marketing, analytics, social media presence, etc.) + Collaborate with CAMBA program staff to coordinate volunteer projects and various donation drives. General Administration + Immediately report or escalate necessary matters to the Development Director, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnership or other appropriate CAMBA Executive Staff. + Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time. Minimum Education/Experience Required: + Bachelor’s degree in a related field Other Requirements: + Minimum 5 years’ experience in fundraising, donor relations or nonprofit development. + Strong project management skills with experience in event planning, donor engagement and relationship building. + Strong knowledge and proficiency of fundraising principles, donor management systems and CRM software. + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, manage confidential information and manage competing priorities. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Collaborative and flexible team member and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. + Committed to the mission of CAMBA and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. + Availability to work occasional evenings and/ or weekends. Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
