Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Evaluates new analytical technologies, methodologies, and related regulations. Prepares reports and recommendations for senior laboratory management. Maintains current technical knowledge and skills as defined in Eurofins Drinking Water policies. Consults with regulators, clients, and others regarding current and future SDWA and CWA regulations, new analytical methods, emerging topics, collaboration and opportunities, and other technical aspects of water research and analyses. Manages special technical, research, and collaboration projects.Plans and conducts the development and validation of new analytical methods. Reviews and updates assigned existing controlled documents (procedures, forms, guidelines, instructions, etc.).Plans, prepares, and participates in conferences and exhibit events. Provides competitive presentations, workshops, and webinars to enhance the leadership of Eurofins Eaton Analytical.Assists in troubleshooting instrumental and analytical procedural issues. Provides and implements effective solutions to comply with QA/QC requirements, improve data quality, and satisfy customer requirements.Supports continuous process improvements to maximize instrument capacity and utilization, improve productivity and data quality, save costs, and decrease turn-around time.Provides technical guidance, training and feedback to employees. Oversees training of technical staff to ensure that the laboratory personnel are fully trained with the required technical skills and competency prior to performing a test.Assists in review, interpretation, and reporting of complex and routine test results. Performs non-routine analysis as required to meet the needs of current long-term clients or to capture new clients in support of business development efforts.Provides technical support to marketing, sales, client services, and QA. Assists in developing and updating marketing brochures, preparing quotes to clients, interpreting testing results, addressing clients’ questions, and recommending corrective actions for auditing and other non-conforming quality events. Understands and complies with Biosafety, Chemical Safety and Radiation Safety procedures and regulations. Adheres to administrative policies including but not limited to: attendance, dress code and required training. Performs on-call responsibilities for after-hour, weekend and holidays as needed.Acts in a professional manner when interacting with clients, visitors, and all staff.Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operationsFoster morale and teamwork

QualificationsSix years of related Drinking Water testing experience.Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to travel for conferences and client visits as neededCapable of representing the company well in external speaking events including webinars, conferences and client presentationsAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesStrong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skillsPhD in chemistry, or other related degree concentration.Six years of related Drinking Water Testing experience.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
