Senior DevOps Engineer

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Devops Engineer. This is a remote role and the candidate can be based anywhere in the USA.

The salary range for this role is between $91,000 to $123,500 depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate.

Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Migration: Lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from third-party tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy) to Azure DevOps. Ensure the migration is seamless, with minimal disruption to ongoing development and deployment processes.

Pipeline Development and Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Apply standard processes for continuous integration and continuous deployment to improve efficiency and reliability.

Application Deployment: Implement application deployments using Azure DevOps, ensuring that deployments are conducted efficiently.

Azure Services Management: Leverage knowledge of Azure services to optimize cloud resources, solve issues, and ensure the reliability of the cloud infrastructure.

Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain PowerShell and YAML scripts to automate processes, enhance deployment workflows, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Version Control: Run and maintain source code repositories using GitHub and Bitbucket. Implement effective version control practices and branching strategies.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Customer to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure smooth implementation of DevOps practices.

Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment processes and pipeline configurations. Deliver training and support to team members on Azure DevOps and related tools.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants will have 10 to 12 years of DevOps experience with expertise in the skills mentioned below:
