Local candidates in the Boston area that can work hybrid once a week in the office are highly preferred.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Cisco in the Security Business Group you’ll be a part of a small, innovative team with a low process, high efficiency culture. The team is working on Cisco Security Cloud Control, previously Cisco Defense Orchestrator, which manages policy and configuration of Security Business Group's firewalls. We are looking for an energetic DevOps engineer to contribute to all parts of our infrastructure stack. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the production process, including continuous delivery of features, infrastructure automation, configuration management, high availability, and related tooling.
Responsibilities
Participate as a technical contributor on a fast-paced project team of engineers involved in the development of SaaS security products.Continuously evolve cloud infrastructure, making it more resilient, scalable and secure.Aggressively automate all manual procedures.Research and recommend technologies to help further product goals.Create innovative solutions for complex technical problems.Respond to and resolve infrastructure related escalations.Lead and participate in on-call rotation, rotated through engineering team.Contribute to software development and testing.Who You’ll Work With
The DevOps Engineer will partner with the engineering organization to converge on common infrastructure setup, tooling and deployment processes and interface with the greater Cisco technical support team.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field5 + years of DevOps experienceExperience running production software in AWS at scaleExperience with SaaS deployment and upgrade automationExperience with Ruby, Python, shell scripting or equivalentPreferred Qualifications
Infrastructure automation tools experience with Terraform and Cloud FormationExperience with Linux based systems.Automated application of configuration changes across multi-use environments (dev, test, staging, prod, etc.)Experience developing safe deployment procedure of new product changes across multiple environmentsAbility to build SaaS monitoring solutions that detect and automatically remediate system faultsKnowledge of setting up, configuring, maintaining and evolving a continuous delivery environment using CI tools such as Jenkins/TeamCity/Bamboo/etc.SaaS operations experience with maintenance, escalations & triageUnderstanding on system securityDebugging and troubleshooting experience in a distributed environmentWhy Cisco Secure
