The last few years have seen a significant increase in the importance of digital solutions in the Commerce area at Heineken. These IT solutions have become a vital component in supporting the company's revenue. To ensure that this trend is supported and the IT in this area continues to grow, the new Commerce DevOps Hub is being established. The newly created organization, being an integral part of the Global Digital & Technology Function, is tasked with maintaining, but most importantly developing (functionally and technologically) IT solutions supporting the Commerce area at Heineken. Commerce DevOps Hub is located in Kraków and will include highly qualified IT professionals with direct contribution to both the technological development of the Heineken Commerce and the Hub itself.
Your Role:
As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the development team responsible for DevOps environment operation, including release automation for in-house products in eazle (our e-Commerce platform). Collaborating closely with Product Owner(s), Product Architect(s) and other DevOps teams you will need to understand the technical and business needs, helping to convert those needs into further development of the DevOps landscape and services in line with overall engineering standards and roadmaps. Driving excellence in engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle in our Commerce IT landscape, will be important element of your role.
The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
Your responsibilities would include:
developing automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software applications utilizing infrastructure automation tools to provision and manage cloud infrastructure resources in a scalable and repeatable manner driving operational excellence implementing automation, monitoring, and performance optimization strategies implementing robust monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems balancing trade-offs between performance, scalability, cost, and time-to-market hosting containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate containerized workloads monitoring and optimizing cloud financials.
Mandatory to know:
Jira – Proficient in tracking projects and collaborating across teams Azure DevOps – Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, version control, and project management Docker – Extensive experience in containerization for consistent and efficient environment deployment Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Strong skills with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools for automated provisioning Programming Languages – Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript (Next.js, React Native, Node.js) Azure Cloud Infrastructure – Deep knowledge of Azure services, networking, and security practices Kubernetes – Advanced knowledge of container orchestration, scaling, and managing distributed applications. Mobile Deployment Process – Experienced in App Store and Google Play deployment processes High Availability & Disaster Recovery – Skilled in designing highly available systems and creating disaster recovery plans Configuration Management – Experience with tools like Chef, Puppet, Terraform, and Ansible for managing configurations.

You are a good candidate if you have:
8+ years of working experience in the similar position strong programming skills in one or more languages. hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform. proficiency in DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and containerization. strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment know about security best practices for cloud-based environments pragmatic, and collaborative team player.
