Senior DevOps Engineer - Mobile Apps

Our mobile team has an opening for a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in leading and scaling our mobile application’s integrations and deployments. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the forefront of mobile technology in the digital marketing sector.

What you’ll do:

Work closely with the development manager and mobile engineers to understand tooling and technical requirements. During daily standup sessions, sprint planning meetings, and retrospective meetings applying agile methodologies to: Collaborate with engineers to refine/plan backlog using the JIRA web product and set priority for operation tasks Record progress on tasks using the JIRA web product Participate in sprint planning and record estimates in JIRA. Give demos of finalized work to team members and stakeholders  Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle Work closely with mobile engineering, cybersecurity, product management, cloud engineering, and software quality assurance teams to design, test, and deploy secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Console Implement advanced DevOps technologies and best practices to refine our deployment infrastructure to improve deployment velocity and reliability. Define branching, merging, and source code management strategies Automate and improve production support tasks, and SRE monitoring for critical iOS and Android applications.  Build CI/CD pipelines using mobile app deployment platforms like Fastlane and Firebase. Set up configuration management, continuous integration, and DevOps best practices to ensure a secure and scalable release of mobile applications Maintain build infrastructure and IDE integrations (Xcode, Android Studio) Manage Apple and Google Developer Accounts and ensure app store compliance of mobile applications at all times Automate security testing (SAST, DAST) through the CI/CD pipelines Promote and nurture good team practices and career growth by participating in code reviews, and pair programming. Documenting the functionality that you deliver Contribute to system and application architecture and develop prototypes Review the pull requests of peer engineers and recommend good practices in GitHub Participate in pair programming for knowledge sharing and collaboration. Provide training and mentorship to other team members Document code where necessary, such as APIs, and keep team practices and knowledge up to date in the Confluence web product Seek out learning opportunities for new DevOps tools and practices

Who you are:

6+ years of industry experience in software operations and 2+ years of experience developing CI/CD for mobile applications are required to be successful in this role Proficient in at least one of the scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby) and configuration driven automation technologies (e.g., YAML, JSON) Extensive experience with Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, Fastlane, and Jira Expertise with shell scripting Unix commands on macOS Knowledge of container technology and orchestration tools like Docker Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating release processes for iOS and Android apps (Google Play Console, Apple Store) 1+ years of experience programming in Swift or Kotlin Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Chef is a plus Ability to articulate engineering design strategies related to scalability, performance, security, usability, and development platforms Passionate about technology and staying up to date on industry trends Strong commitment to continuous improvement for self and team

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
