Senior DevOps & Systems AdminJob DescriptionOpportunity SummaryWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join Upland as a Senior DevOps & Systems Admin and work with our local and global teams to administer our UplandOne Dev platform and supporting technology initiatives.  To perform well in this role, you should have an overall industry experience of 5 - 7 years. This global role will require overlapping hours with different time zones as required. What would you do?Architecture, administration, maintenance, and support of our software development platform and infrastructure (Jenkins, Git, Atlassian Suite, etc)Work with technology teams to integrate their software product development workflows into the standard Upland OneDev platform (Git, Jira, Jenkins, etc)Work on multiple projects encompassing many different technologies.Work with transformation team, technology leadership, and other functional groups as necessaryHighlight risks, issues and proactively work with stakeholders to resolve them What are we looking for? Technical SkillsThe following skills are needed for this role.
Experience:  5-7 years Primary Skills: The candidate must possess the following primary skills:Experience administering multi-node Jenkins build systemsComfortable managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, AMI, S3, IAM)Familiarity with agile software development methodology and tooling, especially continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) e.g., Jenkins, CircleCi,TeamCity, Azure DevOps, etc.Comfortable with shell scripting technologies (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, etc.)Secondary Skills: It would be advantageous if the candidate also has the following secondary skills:Experience administering Jira cloud environmentsComfortable with package management systems (Artifactory, npm, Nuget, etc.)Hands-on experience automating infrastructureContainerization experience (Docker, ECR, ECS, Kubernetes, etc.)Familiarity with modern technology stacks (e.g., .Net, Java, JavaScript, RoR, etc.)Soft Skills: A self-starter with great communication and problem-solving skillsExceptional troubleshooting and analytical abilitiesThrives collaborating in a team environment with a diverse range of peoplePassionate about delivering an amazing customer experienceAble to have a change of mind, and able to change the minds of othersWrites clearly and conciselyCapable of working without a company office, with a fully remote teamGrowth Skills: Possesses a good work ethic; a self-starter with a desire to growAlways looking for better ways to get the job doneQualificationBachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience. This role requires overlap with multiple time zones for planning meetings, status updates etc. on a regular basis. The duration of these overlaps can change depending on the type of meeting.
