Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Overview

Chubb is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team.  This is a permanent full-time position and a compelling opportunity to join a global, growing, financially stable and successful company.  As an industry leader, Chubb is an employer of choice for skilled technology professionals aspiring to develop a meaningful career in a fast-paced, diverse company with offices in most major cities in the world. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a secure, efficient CI/CD pipeline using industry-leading tools like Jenkins, Nexus, and Ansible. You'll also champion a "shift left" security mindset, working closely with developers to ensure quality and security are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines for automating application builds, tests, and deployments using tools like Jenkins and Ansible.

• Integrate security best practices and tools (e.g., SonarQube) into the CI/CD pipeline to identify and remediate vulnerabilities early in the development process.

• Foster a collaborative DevOps culture by working closely with developers to understand their needs and integrate automation effectively.

• Automate middleware deployment and configuration management using tools like Ansible.

• Champion operational stability and resilience by implementing monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Utilize strong scripting skills (Bash, Python preferred) to develop and maintain automation scripts.

• Work effectively in an Agile development environment using Git version control (e.g., GitHub) for code management.

• Utilize strong scripting skills (Bash, Python preferred) to develop and maintain automation scripts for DevSecOps Process – Plan, Build, Deploy, Test, Run phases.

• Possess ability to collaborate with team members and eventually to manage/coordinate work of potential future other DevSecOps engineers in EMEA.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in DevOps tools and methodologies.

• Experience working with Azure cloud platform is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Applied Informatics or equivalent with at least 5 years of working experience in a similar role.

• 5-8 Years of IT Experience into Software development life cycle as Developer or DevOps Engineer.

• Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies (Agile, GitOps, etc.).

• Experience integrating security tools (SAST, DAST) into the CI/CD pipeline.

• 2+ years of experience of Docker & Kubernetes is a plus

• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python preferred).

• Experience working with Git (e.g., GitHub) for version control.

• Experience with Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, SonarQube, and familiarity with Azure is a plus.
