Spreetail is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our Platform Operations team. In this role, you will own the security controls of our Cloud Infrastructure, and prioritize clear and consistent communication between IT, Security, Engineering, and the business at large. You will also assist in deploying and maintaining our applications. This position is 100% remote.In order to qualify for remote work, candidates need to reside or be willing to move to Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, WyomingHow you will achieve success:Continuously increase our security posture, without compromising on usability and cost. Oversee our application security with tools like Snyk, Sonar, and Tenable Audit and control our IAM policies, pipeline policies, and data access policies. Optimize our Kubernetes infrastructure, with an eye to cost control Collaborate with networking, IT, developers, and the business to design and implement secure solutions.
What experiences will help you in this role:Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar 8+ years of experience in DevOps, including operating CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, deployments, application security, tooling, logging, and testing. Particular experience in EKS, Gitlab, Docker, and Datadog preferred. 8+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, including managing AWS/Azure/GCP instances, network topology, cost optimization, IAM policies, and databases. Particular experience in AWS preferred. Professional Experience in Information Security, having undertaken compliance audits, risk management, vulnerability triage, and CATO (continuous authority to operate) implementation. Particular experience in SOC2/PII preferred. Strong ability to both write and analyze secure application code, with emphasis on .NET, JS/TS, Python, and Go. Comfort with ambiguity (operate in processes still being defined), and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done. $151,667 - $170,000 a yearOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,667/year to $170,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
