Senior Digital Communications Officer

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
The Senior Digital Communications Officer is responsible for leading the
day-to-day creation and curation of content for the University's digital communications channels and assets.


Reporting directly to the Digital Communications Head, the SDCO does this by ensuring that the digital marketing and communications content plans are implemented in a timely, strategic, and efficient manner, in support of the institution's strategic goals and in line with Ateneo de Manila mission and identity.


Main Duties and Responsibilities
I. Leads content creation and curation for the University's digital communications
channels and assets, upon guidance of the Digital Communications Head.

Leads other Digital Communications Officers and the Creative Services team in creating creative and compelling content for the University’s various digital platforms. Manages the day-to-day operations of the University’s main social media assets and internal communications channels. Coordinates with Central Administration offices regarding day-to-day content and communications needs. Ensures all public communications from Central Administration offices are published and disseminated in the appropriate channels. Manages queries on Ateneo’s public chat and email channels under Marketing, replying and assigning to the appropriate personnel or office such queries. Moderates comments posted on its social media channels.

II. Monitors day-to-day performance and compliance of content across the main
institutional digital communications channels.

Monitors and assesses key performance indicators for the visibility, engagement, and growth of the University’s digital communications platforms, as cascaded by the Digital Communications Head. Updates and monitors UMC content plans and calendars, ensuring that major events and activities are properly published and promoted on appropriate platforms. As a content manager and editor of ateneo website, ensures website content is timely; accurate; compliant with editorial and institutional communications standards; accessible to the target audiences; and organized and archived properly for digital institutional memory. Recommends to the Digital Communications Head and the Schools Marketing and Communications Officers improvements or tweaks to content, processes and policies based on analysis of the performance of the digital communications platforms.

III. Acts as a partner to offices and staff across the University for digital
communications needs.

Coordinates with the Digital Communications Head and the Schools Marketing and Communications Officers regarding digital communications content, strategy, and policy implementation. Advises, assists, and supports clients and partners within Ateneo de Manila in their marketing and communications needs, based on their specific needs and audiences. Collaborates with internal University clients and other stakeholders in creating creative and compelling content for the University’s various digital communications platforms, as well as for non-digital communications needs.

IV. Other Tasks and Responsibilities

Creates content for various communication platforms or purposes, in connection with the day-to-day tasks of the University Marketing and Communications office. These include producing content for both digital and physical platforms; assisting offices and administrators with speeches, scripts, and public relations materials; and other content creation tasks.
