Role
The Senior Digital Solutions Consultant position is based in North America with a focus on business development & retention in the NA region, including Canada. The senior member we’re in search of will report directly to the Global Head of Digital Solutions Consulting based in London, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Provide digital and technology expertise within business development team across asset owners and asset managers in support their investment decision-making and oversight, including their use of data, analytics and technology solutions.Consultative pre-sales and sales engagement on front to back solutions, level 1 and 2 system and functional data flows, data integration and digital toolingCreating innovative, integrated technology solutionsPreparing and pitching influential technology demos to clients, prospects and consultants across business linesRaising Northern Trust’s profile as a market leading digital and provider to the external marketProviding input and direction towards Northern Trust’s technology, digital solutions and strategyResearching client’s needs and understanding the value proposition of our technology, data and digital capabilities to provide appropriate demos and presentationsWorking closely with the RFP (Request for Proposal) team and Marketing team to ensure a coherent, consistent message is communicated externally regarding Northern Trust’s technology offeringsLiaising with the business to drive innovation and promote leading technology in the industryStaying aware of changing market conditions and tracking digital and data trends, new market leading technologies and tools within the industry to ensure Northern Trust’s is offering relevant and up-to-date technology platformsAdditional responsibilities include:
Providing strategic sales support for Northern Trust initiatives aimed at expanding & retaining client relationships and business developmentPackaging Northern Trust reporting solutions and technological capabilities for a wide array of clientsProviding technical consultancy in the development of formal sales proposalsPartnering with Sales Managers and client service team representatives to create strategies directed at prospecting and client engagement meetingsCoordinating technical pre-sales activities, transferring technical specifications and product knowledge to existing and prospective clients through the RFP/ RFI processProactively investigating ways to differentiate Northern Trust’s technology offering from the competitionDevising market leading solutions to enable Northern Trust to have a competitive edge in market tenders and prospect opportunitiesDelivering engaging and influential technology demos across the suite of Northern Trust technology applicationsSkills/Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to understand and process information regarding technology based productsDemonstrated ability to create a holistic, client focused story that highlights the value to the end-user(s)Demonstrated ability to create a network of contacts whilst building trust & credibility in the framework of those relationshipsDemonstrated ability to lead prospect and client technology roadshowsKnowledge of traditional and alternative assetsKnowledge of industry technology platforms such as Aladdin, Simcorp, CRD, Investran, Burgiss and data platforms such as SnowflakeA proven self-starter with the energy and passion to continually create new narratives to showcase and articulate the value of a company’s brandDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines in a highly regulated environmentDemonstrated technical knowledge around investment strategies and the investment processA proven track record in sales presentations and demonstration of technologies and toolsWilling and able to devise and deliver a presentation for Senior Leaders during the recruitment processWilling and available to travel to client meetings, conference and roadshows though North America and CanadaA deep understanding of client functions, needs and pain points – and potential technology solutionsDemonstrated multi-segment expertise within the financial sectorMulti-product expertise for technology and reporting solutions within the financial sector.Working with Us:
