Senior Director, Business Line Credit Risk- Energy Vertical

You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too? **The Opportunity** The Power, Energy and Infrastructure vertical will focus on borrowers in the domestic energy and climate transition space, extending project and corporate finance loans for the construction, operation and ownership of renewable and conventional power plants and associated infrastructure. This role is an individual contributor role and will report to the Sr Business Line Risk Director/Risk Officer of Corporate Finance for Ally Bank and will develop strategies under direction of the Leadership Team and CCRC. This role will also participate in functional decision making to support objectives and key metrics. This position will foster a collaborative environment, demonstrate a high level of integrity, focus on delivering on the core value proposition, and celebrate team success. Experience with project finance, back-leverage and/or tax equity structures is preferred. Understanding of project development, construction, operational risks as well as financing structures is required. **The Work Itself** · Participate in all Initial Deal Reviews (IDRs) · Review and approve all: Underwritings Pre-close memos Loan modifications Notice of defaults · Chair portfolio review meetings: Establish and maintain account review schedule Review materials in advance of meetings Designate follow-up items Pre-review published list of follow-up items and clear items as completed Initiate transfer of accounts to Workout when appropriate · Review and sign Risk Rating Scorecards and monitor Risk Ratings to assure all clients are rated appropriately and according to the required frequency · Assist with the establishment and updating of policies and procedures related to new business and portfolio management, including updating Product Profiles, administration of required regulatory processes such as Flood Insurance and KYC requirements. · Handle ad hoc duties and special projects as required · Work to develop and further Ally’s credit and risk culture **The Skills You Bring** · BA in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; Master's degree is preferred · Must have experience in first-lien power and infrastructure project finance transactions, including solar, wind, battery and gas-fired generation · 10+ years of relevant risk experience · Experience in auditing, banking, commercial lending, underwriting, financial analysis, credit analysis, and collateral management. · Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills · Highly analytical, detail oriented with problem solving capability · Well-developed presentation and relationship selling skills · High level of accountability **How We'll Have Your Back** * Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
