Overview

Summary

The Senior Director of Cisco Alliances will serve as the leader of C1’s strategic partnership with Cisco, overseeing and driving all aspects of the alliance. This is a critical role, given Cisco's status as C1’s number one partner, and requires a seasoned, high-caliber individual to act as the strategic architect and operator of this relationship. This role demands a visionary leader who can establish and execute a comprehensive strategy, aligning the partnership’s objectives with broader business goals while fostering mutual growth and success. The Senior Director, Cisco Alliances will be responsible for building and maintaining executive relationships, driving revenue-generating initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across all facets of the alliance. This position will lead with a business-owner mindset, delegating and coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams, and ensuring the partnership delivers measurable results that reinforce Cisco's integral role in C1’s success.

 

Measures of Success Generally Include:

Bookings & Revenue Growth by achieving and exceeding joint revenue targets through strategic execution of C1 & Cisco partnership initiatives, including increased bookings, pipeline growth, and adoption of Cisco solutions.Alliance Impact, strengthening the Cisco partnership by driving measurable outcomes such as enhanced collaboration, improved EA and LCM adoption rates, and increased customer key accounts.Operational Excellence- Establish and maintain scalable processes and frameworks that ensure efficient execution of alliance strategies, with clear metrics for tracking progress, ROI, and long-term sustainability.

 

Note: Strive for quantifiable criteria wherever possible; Additional Success Measures tied to a specific team or region may be required.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Develops and executes a comprehensive strategy for the Cisco alliance, aligning with organizational goals of C1, while maximizing growth opportunitiesInteracts with the Cisco alliance as a business, owning the vision, goals, and performance metrics while ensuring collaboration alignment across all teamsFosters and maintains strong executive relationships with Cisco’s VP leadership, ensuring alignment on mutual priorities and initiatives align with C1 and vice versaLeads and empowers cross-functional teams to execute alliance strategies, leveraging C1 internal resources and managing competing prioritiesOversees Cisco's EA (Enterprise Agreements) and LCM (Lifecycle Management) initiatives, ensuring robust execution and measurable results with the C1 LCM teams accordinglyIdentifies and capitalizes on joint opportunities to expand market presence, drive revenue, and increase the value of the partnership by collaborating with C1 capabilities, marketing and sales teamsEstablishes scalable processes, reporting frameworks, and operational best practices to manage the alliance

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Cisco Expertise- Deep understanding of Cisco’s ecosystem, products, and internal structures—preferably with prior experience at Cisco or leading a Cisco-focused alliance teamProven Leadership- VP-level experience leading high-impact partnerships, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and act decisivelyBusiness Acumen- Strong track record of treating partnerships as a P&L center, driving measurable results, and aligning efforts with long-term business objectivesRelationship Builder- Skilled in building and maintaining executive-level relationships, both internally and externallyVisionary and Executor: Capable of setting a clear vision for the alliance while also driving tactical execution across teams

Deep Cisco Ecosystem Knowledge-Significant expertise in Cisco’s products, partnerships, and organizational structure, with a preference for direct experience working at Cisco or leading Cisco-focused initiativesExecutive-Level Leadership-Demonstrated ability to lead at the VP or equivalent level, managing complex alliances with a focus on strategic growth and operational excellenceProven Track Record of Results-History of successfully driving measurable outcomes in high-value partnerships, including revenue growth, market expansion, and joint business objectives Additional Information
