Senior Director, Clinical Site Budget & Contracts
This is a hybrid position on-site 3 days per week in Basking Ridge, NJ or Armonk, NY, and 2 days from home. A fully remote role is not possible for this position.


The Senior Director is responsible for leadership of the team of Site Contracts Leads (SCLs) for the assigned therapeutic areas and the day-to-day management of the vendors (e.g., CROs, FSPs, etc.) with who we work for site budget and contract negotiation-related areas. This individual is responsible for managing the global SB&C operational model, including internal and vendor staff who are responsible for conducting site budget and contract negotiations. The Senior Director interacts with cross stakeholder, senior level management, external vendors, collaboration partners, and clinical study personnel.


In a typical day you will:

Think strategically about Regeneron’s ideal approaches to conducting site contracting and drive solutions, while ensuring complianceManager the contracting operational model for assigned areas, which includes a combination of in-house vs. outsourced negotiationsPartner with colleagues in the Law Department and other stakeholder groups, as needed, to continuously enhance the operational model and prioritize assignments across assigned therapeutic areasMaintain key site contracting metrics for vendors and direct reports, ensure that internal systems are updated in a timely, accurate, and complete manner, and maintain an overview of contract statuses and issues, in order to proactively communicate progress, risks, issues or changes thatmay impact quality, timelines and/or budgetAct as a point of contact for clinical program and study level contract escalationsProvide innovative and flexible operational solutions and options and proactively creates and implements risk mitigation strategiesIdentify and recommends changes to practices and policies, including initiating and participating in strategic projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement projectsEnsure inspection readiness throughout the clinical program lifecycleStaff ManagementHelp drive decision making and integrates all operational considerations for studies to ensure that contract finalization goals are attainable prior to implementation Vendor OversightBe accountable for the day-to-day management of the applicable vendors across the portfolio, in partnership with Clinical Trial Management, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Study Optimization, Law Department, and Vendor Management colleagues
 

To be considered, you must possess:

Bachelor's degreeMinimum of 15 years of direct experience with global, Phase 1-4 clinical site agreement and budget negotiations (at a biopharmaceutical company or CRO) required, including strong U.S. site negotiation experienceMinimum of 10 years of people management and U.S. site contractingexperience requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience working with a vendor for global outsourcedclinical site contractingTherapeutic area-specific experience required (e.g., oncology, hematology,general medicine, and/or immunology & inflammation)J.D. or MBA preferredPeople Management ExperienceExpert-level understanding of global site budget and contract negotiations and advanced interpersonal, communication skills, influencing, and problem-solving skills to achieve results and develops plans to meet strategic and operational targets in alignment with The Regeneron WayAbility to synthesize complex information and communicate it to a wide variety of audiencesAbility to effectively spearhead ongoing process improvements (including cross-stakeholder, strategic initiatives)Ability to provide strategic direction and guidance for assigned book of workAnalytical skills with a data driven approach to planning, executing, and problem solvingBudget management experienceAbility to build, train, manage, and coach high performance and growth teamsDemonstrated vendor management experienceExtensive experience in global clinical trial operationsAbility to travel up to 25%

$212,900.00 - $354,800.00
