Senior Director, Compliance - Governance & Issues Management

The Sr. Director, Compliance, will provide subject matter expertise on compliance issue management. The position will be part of a team responsible for managing compliance governance and initiatives, and will manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables, as well as support other compliance initiatives. As a versatile team player, this role will display leadership qualities, and be professional and collaborative in addressing new challenges across the organization.

As part of the Global Privacy and Compliance team, this role reports to the Vice President, Compliance. It offers the flexibility to work remotely two days a week as well as In-office 3 days a week from our newly-renovated office located in Midtown. (This is NOT a fully-remote role)


What you’ll do:

Assist the compliance issues management process by helping to identify issues, to work business and technology teams to identify and remediate root causes, and to document impact and resolution.

Provide reporting and trending information of identified compliance issues and risks to management.

Partner with teams across Equifax to periodically review and update compliance issues and risks and act as a point of contact for compliance issues and risks.

Support the monitoring and testing of compliance controls for effectiveness.

Manage metrics related to role and, where applicable, content for other leadership reports.


What experience you need:

Five (5) years minimum of regulatory, compliance, or analogous experience

In-depth understanding of the financial services industry, including the regulatory landscape and consumer financial protection laws.

Bachelor's degree.

Experience managing multi-stakeholder or cross functional enterprise processes.

Strong project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and run multiple projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners, as well as senior management, with focus on informing, influencing, and relationship building.

Excellent executive presentation skills.

Demonstrated partnering skills, with experience coordinating initiatives with partners in a multinational organization.


What could set you apart:

Experience working with Google Suite products - Sheets, Slides, etc.

Experience working at a F500 publicly-traded highly-regulated company would be a plus

An understanding of data analysis, modeling, and/or coding would be a plus, but not required.
