Role Overview
Ankura’s Construction Disputes & Advisory practice is seeking a Senior Director to support work across the Canadian market, but may require travel. As a Senior Director in Ankura’s Construction Disputes & Advisory group, you will manage analyses and continue to develop analytical skills while being immersed in the world of client services. Construction Senior Directors assist our experts in developing and managing the detailed analyses required to provide the best solutions for our clients. Senior Directors perform and manage project schedule, cost, productivity and statistical analyses as well as assist with review of key project issues through document review and database creation/management. Senior Directors usually have 7 - 10 years of related work experience.
Responsibilities:
Developing, managing and supporting detailed analyses of project schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity, contracts, change orders and other issues related to design and constructionAssisting in the research and analyzing project cost recordsAnalyzing financial statements and other pertinent documentationUsing Ankura’s proprietary tools in the development of claim methodology and work productDeveloping computer models of schedules, contractor production rates and costs using various software packagesAssisting with data gathering activities including document review and supervision, and quality control of data entry activitiesSupervising appropriate personnel including analysts, less experienced associates, client personnel, clerical support, and others as appropriateDemonstrating proper documentation of work productEngagement planningPreparing client communicationsCoordinating administrative functions including time tracking and bill preparationSupporting the recruiting efforts through participation in campus events and office interviewsSupporting staff development effortsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplineExperience in the construction and engineering industriesProficient in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AccessExperience in damages and investigative work focused on contractual disputes, claims, and litigationAbility to research, including the use of the internet and other information sources, and a solid knowledge base in their course of studyEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management skills and attention to detailEfficient, flexible, and creative problem-solving skills, a high level of motivation, and excellent analytical and organizational skillsWillingness to travel and work overtime when needed
