Senior Director, Contracts & Planning (Buses) Job ID: 11704 Business Unit: New York City Transit Location: Various, United States Regular/Temporary: Regular Department: Regional Bus Company Date Posted: May 9, 2025 Description Job Information Senior Director, Contracts & Planning (Buses) First date of posting: 5/9/2025 Last date of posting: 5/30/2025 Authority: OA/TA/MTA Bus Department: Buses Division/Unit: Maintenance, Support & Engineering / Support Fleet Services Location: Various Reports To: Deputy Vice President, Support Fleet Services Hours of Work: As Required Compensation Salary Range: $113,172 – 160,206 Responsibilities Responsible for managing and directing Non-Revenue Vehicle procurement process including creating and updating vehicle specifications, developing five-year replacement plan, inspect new vehicles during build, commission new vehicles, evaluate emerging technologies, ensure regulatory compliance on new vehicles and zero emissions transition. Manage and oversee vehicle scrap process. Manage and direct vendor surveillance. Manage and oversee Non-Fixed Equipment department including maintenance of non-fixed equipment assets (folk lifts, scrubbers, sweepers, etc.), manage staff engaged in maintenance of non-fixed equipment, procure new equipment, scrapping of equipment, and manage parts inventory. Education and Experience 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Transportation Management or a satisfactory equivalent and twelve (12) years of full-time related experience, and at least seven (7) years of which must have been in a supervisory/managerial capacity; OR Other Information Pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the “Commission”).
