Senior Director, Corporate Communications

Come join a team that is dedicated to making an impact for the people and communities we serve. _This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location._ The Senior Director, Corporate Communications is responsible for the organization, development, and oversight of comprehensive and integrated communications objectives and plans for marketing, branding, and message positioning in support of established business goals, strategic priorities and to the enhancement of the company's overall reputation with internal and external stakeholders. Works closely with members of executive and senior management on the development and administration of communication plans and strategies. Provides oversight of company branding and strategic content and messaging across all communication channels and platforms. Supervises department staff and outside consultants/vendors responsible for the development and production of strategic content for employee, marketing, community, and business development functions. + Consults with members of executive and senior management, providing communication, marketing and advertising strategies that protect, promote, and enhance the company's reputation across a spectrum of key internal and external stakeholder audiences. + Oversees the development and production of strategic content for use in multiple communication channels and platforms, to include employee, community and customer communications as well as traditional, social and other new media.Maintains editorial calendar and ensures that communication plans and deliverables are met by direct reports and contractors. Advises and supports public affairs team on strategic promote media planning and execution related to content. + Supervises department staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by policy.This includes, but is not limited to, training new employees, mentoring, motivating staff, evaluating performance and preparing written performance appraisals, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules, and approving leave requests. + Manages freelance designers, writers, videographers and vendors responsible for the production of strategic content for the company, to include on-site direction for photo/video asset shoots and similar activities.Reviews and negotiates vendor contracts and determines resource allocation and work assignments. + Oversees the company's print and digital communications platforms and channels. Researches and presents recommendations to senior management for the purchase of digital/print media advertising, print publication of the company magazine, and other print collaterals. + Reviews and approves the work product of department staff, outside departments, and external vendors and freelancers to ensure quality, accuracy and brand consistency. Coordinates with departmental staff, facility employees, and outside consultants to develop communication plans and processes that ensure appropriate brand identity and consistency in creative standards across a full spectrum of communications platforms, including on-line/digital, multimedia, and print materials. + Directs the maintenance and communication of the company's brand style and creative standards, consistent with approved strategies from the VP of Communications.Provides branding and graphic standard guidance and support to senior management and other departments, to ensure brand and messaging consistency across the enterprise. Assists and advises senior management on the development of strategies related to brand management. + Manages the communication strategy and direction for company mergers, acquisitions, and facility activations. Oversees and collaborates with senior management and other departments on internal communication initiatives including employee campaigns, newsletters, special events, and email communication. + Serves as strategic communications consultant to CEO and executive leadership team, and provides support in the form of talking points, speeches, and other resources. + Directs the company's annual charity event to include fundraising, event planning, and communications. Advises and coaches executive and senior management on charitable giving and related partnerships. Conducts outreach and meets regularly with outside agencies/organizations in advancement of the company's strategic partnerships and philanthropic giving, and manages corporate charitable foundation, as well as marketing and community relations functions. + Provides strategic collaborative leadership, support and subject matter expertise for key enterprise-wide processes and programs, including but not limited to the organization's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) program, the company's coordinated response to pandemic and similar crisis needs, and the company's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program. + Plans and directs administrative, financial, and operational activities for the department as needed and requested by senior management. Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making. + Domestic U.S. travel may be required. **Qualifications:** + Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field is required. Master's degree in communications, business or related field preferred. + Seven years of marketing/public relations experience is required. + Experience directing and/or managing comprehensive strategic communications, media relations and/or marketing programs and related teams preferred. + Strong knowledge of video and digital production is required. + Graphic design knowledge and/or experience is preferred. + Effective communication skills; written, verbal, and listening, are required. + Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. + A valid driver's license is required. _CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace and EOE – including Disability/Veteran_
