Growing together.** The Sr Director, Data Analytics for Affiliate membership will be accountable for creating and executing the build of the data strategy within the South Region to properly track all key measures used to manage the care of Affiliate membership across the region. This role must demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels and markets within the South Region. The role will be accountable for driving results while identifying and solutioning issues related to data sourced from multiple functional areas. The Sr Director is responsible for data visualization and reporting requiring cross functional partnership with IT, medical directors, healthcare economics, network teams, and others. This role requires deep relationships with and understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to drive business goals. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Data Build and Visualization + Understand the home-based care strategy and the multiple systems in the ecosystem that impact the ability to deliver the best-in-class care + Develop and design the backend data architecture needed to effectively power dynamic business intelligence + Develop and maintain a 3-year road map for the continued evolution of our data architecture in partnership with healthcare economics, risk adjustment, quality, and clinical teams + Drive requirements gathering and alignment + Partner with other teams to support data lineage, effective data strategy, and user confidence in the validity, integrity, and actionability of the data + **Leadership and Strategic Management** + Partner with the multiple teams to drive strategic planning + Support and drive execution and follow through on select initiatives translating ideas into action leveraging data + Partner to drive strategic direction around priorities, timelines, and planned outcomes; coalesce divergent and competing viewpoints quickly to drive to decisions and initiate plans + Ensure all data analysis are executed on-time and support the business issue at hand while understanding benefits that flow through to the business P&L + Suggest new capabilities based on market needs and/or performance gaps + **Performance Management** + Establishes and maintains a team of managers, professional, and senior level professional staff including talent management, performance feedback, and development + Monitors and leverages key reports and tools to manage against financial goals; communicates trends and performance improvement plans to executive leadership + Analyze reports, identify reasons for performance gaps, and identify opportunities for improved financial performance and enhanced return on investment You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications:** + **10+ years healthcare or related industry experience analyzing and interpreting data** + **5+ years of experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership** + **5+ years of experience managing and developing a high performing team** + **Expert in Data Visualization** + **Expert in Microsoft Excel** + **Proven ability to operate and effectively navigate a highly complex, matrixed environment** + **Proven ability to deal with ambiguity - can cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty in a manner consistent with UnitedHealth Group’s core values** + **Proven ability to work in a provider-led organization, understanding that patient and provider satisfaction are mission critical priorities** + **Demonstrated leadership and hands-on experience, solid leader and motivator with the ability to develop talent within the organization** + **Proven ability to scope projects, set objectives and goals, measure performance, and evaluate results** + **Proven cross-functional and executive level influence** **Preferred Qualification:** + Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Tableau The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
