What's it all about?

As a Senior Director of Data Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development and implementation of advanced data capabilities for Client services in partnership with Data and AI product leaders. You are responsible for creating and driving the data solutions roadmap, which encompasses complex AI and machine learning initiatives alongside traditional analytics capabilities. You will oversee the entire creative lifecycle, ensuring that our data solutions not only meet but exceeds the evolving needs of the business. Your strong analytic and leadership skills, contextual business sense and a creative flair to solve complex data challenges for client services.

What we expect day to day:

Create strategy and roadmap for AI/ML feature development, data capabilities, and internal data products and innovations supporting the operations of Commercial and Money Movement & Global Client ServicesLead the design and delivery of large-scale data solutions, including AI solutions, Machine Learning algorithms, and traditional data analytics capabilities, through the entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, internal approvals, release, analysis, and iterationProvide structure for projects and deliverables utilizing Agile methodologyCollaborate with a wide range of data scientists, data engineers, AI/Ml engineers, and business leaders to create robust, scalable solutionsLead regular business reviews to report on progress and critical milestonesServe as a domain expert, providing mentorship which helps team members grow their skills and careers in dataEnsure seamless integration between Visa's enterprise-wide capabilities and Client Services' last-mile BI solutions by acting as a Data Steward and liaison to the Global Data OfficeBe a thought leader who grows the data culture of Visa's Client Services functionServe as a strategic advisor to organizational leadership and peers - inclusive of global and regional Client Services - to mature our analytic capabilities and delivery effectiveness.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experienceVisa or Payments industry product experience. Leader who can innovate future data capabilities.Experience in building scalable enterprise Data and AI solutionsExperience in manipulating data from a variety of sources - big data experience (Hadoop, Hive, Spark), data visualization experience (Tableau, PowerBI) and/or SQLStrategic and analytic skills with the capability to clearly communicate vision and strategy to executive leadershipAbility to explain complex business and technical concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way.Be a transformative leader - inspire others to a new level of excellence, both in and outside of your organization, at all levels of seniorityDemonstrated the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate with evidence of tangible business resultsStrong collaboration and influence skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional leadership to drive operations strategy

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 154,500.00 to 241,450.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
