Senior Director, Digital Content Marketing - US

Job Summary

The Senior Director, Digital Content will lead the effort to redefine how Siemens approaches digital content across its global properties, with a focus on Siemens.com. This role will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization, including marketing, product, IT, and regional business units, to create and implement a modern, unified content strategy that enhances customer experience and supports Siemens’ business goals.

This leader is a seasoned modern marketing expert with proven experience driving innovative content programs across a global, matrixed organization. This position will be responsible for building a culture of digital content innovation, ensuring Siemens.com becomes a dynamic, user-centric platform that supports customers across their lifecycle. The role will be instrumental in transforming Siemens’ digital content practices, ensuring consistency, quality, and customer engagement across digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the modernization of Siemens’ content strategy for Siemens.com and other digital properties to align with global business objectivesDefine content goals, KPIs, and strategic roadmaps to drive user engagement and meet key business outcomesEnsure brand consistency and quality by establishing content guidelines and governance across digital platformsCollaborate closely with UX, design, IT, marketing, and product teams to deliver seamless, integrated digital experiencesLeverage analytics and audience insights to deliver personalized content that resonates with Siemens’ diverse global audiencesEstablish and promote best practices for content creation, publishing, and optimization in collaboration with cross-functional teamsPartner with global and regional teams to align content strategy with marketing campaigns, product launches, and corporate initiativesContinuously optimize content performance through data-driven approaches, including web analytics and A/B testingWork with IT and digital teams to enhance content management systems (CMS) and tools to support efficient content creation and distributionSupport content localization for Siemens’ global audience while ensuring cultural relevance and consistency with the global brandEnsure content complies with global accessibility standards (WCAG) and legal regulations (GDPR), championing inclusivity and compliance across platforms

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field10+ years of experience in global digital content strategy, content marketing, or similar rolesProven ability to collaborate across functions, driving strategic alignment in large, matrixed organizationsExcellent communications skills to inspire and influence stakeholders across the organization—from senior leaders to execution teamsSolid understanding of user experience (UX) and the role content plays in customer engagement across the lifecycleFamiliarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital platforms, with a preference for experience with headless CMS solutionsData-driven mindset with experience in leveraging analytics and audience insights for continuous content optimizationFamiliarity with global content needs, localization practices, and managing content across multiple regions and languagesUnderstanding of legal compliance requirements, including accessibility standards (WCAG) and data privacy (GDPR)Ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive content innovation and modernization

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $200,800  to $361,500 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
