Summary
The Senior Director, Emerging Government Policy Campaigns, will ensure continued organization readiness, stakeholder engagement, and compliance to IRA requirements and emerging government policy so that JJ Innovative Medicine is positioned for future success and business growth in the US market.
In an increasingly complex U.S. policy environment, this leader will also be responsible for ecosystem shaping campaigns to counter misleading narratives with stakeholders (e.g. Policymakers, Advocacy groups, Employers, Academia), and to evolve the conversation towards the value of transformative medicine for patients and provider.
Primary responsibilities include:
Ensure connection across all IRA-related efforts related to current and future Asset Readiness, Effectuation, and Strategy Policy Shaping, and manage program-like structure to drive visibility, efficiency, and dependencies across functions and workstreamsDrive Sr. leadership-level dialogue, alignment, and decision making around open questions and strategic planCollaborate with US Policy, Fed Affairs, Public Affairs and others on strategy tactics to support continued external policy stakeholder engagement , ensuring appropriate organizational communication.Ensure the Operational Leads for effectuation of all Government programs are provided with appropriate and information and timelines to facilitate operational business decisionsManage campaign-like cross-functional execution of key Policy Priorities, in partnerships with other leaders in JJ Core Policy Functions (e.g. HPA, US Policy, Fed Affairs, State Affairs, and Public Affairs)Lead Policy issue Stakeholder mapping strategic planning across Core Policy Functions (via the PACE cross-functional forum) and other partners to ensure alignment and pull-throughThe Johnson Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. 12 years of experience in healthcare industry, with at least 5 in a Health Policy, Market Access, or Advocacy role 5 years of people management experienceSolid understanding of the IRA and other policy and strategic considerations or implications Deep understanding of the U.S. Market Access across product life cycle and demonstrated ability to bridge policy and functional teams and ways of thinkingDemonstrated ability to stand up a program and manage multiple workstreams towards clear milestones and a common strategic and action plan for executionAbility to navigate a matrix and lead/collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Commercial teams (pricing, contracting, account management, Scientific Affairs), Government Affairs Policy, new business development, and RD teams Comfortable with ambiguity and shaping new ways of workingDemonstrated Intellectual Curiosity to learn more about the evolving health care and policy landscape and ability to leverage insights to anticipate and prepare for the future Demonstrated high-level of integrity and JJ Credo mindsetPreferred qualifications:
Previous experience leading Strategic planning in Marketing, VAP, or other core strategic function A mix of leadership roles in either Field and Home-office based functions within the pharmaceutical or biotech industryThis position is based in Titusville, New Jersey and requires approximately 25% travel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $173,000-$299,000.
