**Compensation Overview**
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

The Travelers’ Enterprise Experience Design (EXD) team supports end-to-end customer, agent, and employee journeys and other transformational efforts across the Travelers enterprise, focusing on everything from discrete lines of business areas to entire digital ecosystems. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director in our Design Strategy and Facilitation practice to collaborate with Journey Transformation and D&A counterparts to help drive impactful engagements and deliver exceptional experiences.
You should be a strategic thinker, a skilled facilitator, a team builder, and a passionate advocate for both experience excellence and business impact. You should be proficient in designing and facilitating journey transformation workshops, using data and insights to inform strategy, and crafting compelling business stories that resonate with stakeholders and align objectives with human-centered design solutions.
You will need to bring a strong blend of strategic facilitation, design thinking expertise as well as a ‘toolbox of methods’ that anchor on the double diamond design process. As a trusted peer, you will partner closely with our enterprise Journey Transformation and D&A teams, executing project work to identify key priority areas across business, experience, and technology perspectives, while championing the audience experience at every touchpoint.
As a key leader, you will oversee designers and delivery in our Design Strategy and Facilitation practice and will require a proven track record mentoring and building high-performing teams. We need someone who is adept at building strong relationships with their peer network, working team and business partners.
You will also need to be instrumental in helping to evolve the practice and offering as we look toward our future to develop emerging capabilities. In addition to Transformation, you will also partner with our cross line of business XD Leadership group, Enterprise XD Standards and Operations groups to mature and evolve our practice towards our target state.
**What Will You Do?**
+ Act as player/coach, and consistently deliver and manage team high-quality work within identified timelines, ensuring reliability and excellence in execution.
+ Plan and successfully run design thinking workshops with business, users, product owners, and tech team members
+ Work alongside our research teams and plan and support user research (qualitative and quantitative) to identify and understand the target user pain points, and needs.
+ Integrate data and business insights into the design processes to optimize outcomes and support decision-making.
+ Communicate findings and recommendations through compelling slide decks that may also include narratives, customer journey maps, service blueprints etc.
+ Demonstrate depth in utilizing various double diamond design thinking methods and champion human-centered design practices across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and user-focused thinking.
+ Build and manage high-performing teams, driving professional growth and ensuring design capabilities meet business needs.
+ Partner with business unit XD leaders to elevate capabilities and continue to evolve our enterprise.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**What is a Must Have?**
+ Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.
+ Ten years of related experience.
