Nightwing is seeking an experienced attorney to lead the enterprise compliance function within the Office of General Counsel. This attorney will be responsible for design, implementation and ongoing operation of Nightwing’s ethics and compliance program, with responsibility over corporate investigations, enterprise risk management, compliance policy, training and communications, and overall compliance counseling.

Responsibilities will include:

Identification of legal and regulatory risks facing the company and development of strategies to mitigate such risks, including the implementation of effective compliance programs and risk management initiatives

Development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures in partnership with other enterprise functions and operations

Serve as legal counsel for contract/regulatory compliance issues, including cybersecurity, FAR compliance, global trade compliance, DCAA/DCMA audit, privacy and industrial security matters

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active member in good standing of a state bar association.

Minimum 10 or more years of relevant experience practicing law, and 6 years or more experience practicing in-house, preferably in a corporate legal department of a U.S. government contractor

Experience conducting investigations, developing compliance programs and processes, and providing counsel regarding government contracts legal and regulatory issues

Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders and work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives

Deep understanding of U.S. government contracts regulations, including specific familiarity with cybersecurity requirements and the CMMC framework

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions to complex legal issues

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

TS-SCI clearance a plus but not required.

Location

Hybrid position. Candidate should be located within commuting distance of Nightwing headquarters in Sterling, Virginia.

The salary range for this role is 188,000 USD - 378,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
