Job Description Summary:
The Coca-Cola Company, a global beverage leader with a rich history of over 136 years and a portfolio of over 200 brands worldwide, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Franchise Manager. This role serves as the primary point of contact representing the total region portfolio and will steward the development of the brands with primary accountability of growing revenue, volume, share, and transactions. We are looking for candidates with bottling or general management experience that can build relationships and execute our strategies across our network.
What You'll Do for Us:
To lead, align, and steward the Coca-Cola system along business strategies, grounded in our mission and vision. Through these strategies, the role seeks to consistently deliver sustainable growth in system profit and to motivate individual members of the system to invest the resources and develop the capabilities required to realize/accomplish these strategies, through planning and directing all bottler field activities, such as attaining sales targets, evaluating program implementation, results and recommending constructive measures to maximize profitable sales volume.
The Senior Franchise Operations Director is responsible for integrating the work of other Coca-Cola functions to ensure that the complete package is delivered to the bottler on time in such a way that the program can be readily executed in the market. Thus, this role represents the Franchise bottlers to the Coca-Cola organization, and “stands their corner”.
This role will lead employee engagement, serving as the primary catalyst in collaboration with local leaders to cultivate a culture of leadership and growth mindset within the networked organization. The focus will be on enhancing overall employee engagement in the market.
Provide overall leadership to the Franchise Area. Lead, coach, or delegate where appropriate in below areas:
1) Develop Annual Business Plan and achieve annual business targets
· Drive local functional leads to deliver KPIs, coach, support, develop, escalate and resolve issues with local bottler leadership.
· Set local strategy, targets and milestones, align with OU, cross-functional teams and bottlers
· Accountable for setting long & short term stretch targets with bottlers and delivering on NSR, volume, OI and share results.
· Get aligned with local bottler on the strategies, annual business targets and annual DMI budget.
· Secure the compliance and execution of the business plan via effectively using various information.
· Diagnose issues and drive action plans of local bottler to make sure business is running on track.
2) Explore local opportunities
· Identify significant unexploited market opportunities and recommend plans on how to seize them
· Influence long-term infrastructure investment with bottlers to ensure we can fulfil future growth targets and OI
· Introduce best practices of examples to local bottler to enhance system's ability.
· Find and direct KO resource to support bottler to capture the opportunities for a faster growth
3) Understand the local consumers and customers
· Be totally up-to-date with all relevant local consumers, customers and competitive trend
· Regularly feed up latest market information to the system and interpret all research data to derive implication
· Lead the process of local insight development
· In the Market for achieving operational improvements & best in class market execution, bridging between OU & Bottler Leadership Team to plan and execute programs endorsed by the Franchise GM
· Monitor bottler performance and identify bigger opportunities within the Franchise Areas
· Work in conjunction with other OU functions to align strategy and resources
· Engage and influence Bottler Head Office and Bottler GM for best-in-class local implementation based on superior consumer insights and an understanding of the industry landscape.
· Support the bottlers with winning consumer marketing, trade, channel, cold drink, CSS, RGM and other programs that they can readily use to drive growth and increase value.
· Work with the bottlers to provide national, regional and local key customers with superior levels of customer service that create value for all parties.
Financial Custodian of the Franchise Area
· Within budget restraint, ensure that the Franchise Area structure and resources are sufficient to achieve the targets
· Ensure that the Franchise Area has an adequate system of financial control and that an appropriate system of internal controls is maintained.
Develop people and system capability and ensure a productive relationship with the bottlers at all levels
· Build a strong team capable of working within the system, including the bottlers, effectively to realize business targets.
· Develop team members' capabilities through effective coaching and by fostering a culture of leadership and growth mindset. Collaborate with the HR Strategic Business Partner to ensure a growth culture, build the right team, and maintain healthy talent pipelines.
· Assist and support the bottlers in building capability within their organizations, leveraging the cross-functional resources.
· Ensure that at all levels relationships with the bottlers are constructive and collaborative, and that Company/bottler interaction is focused on the need to win in the market and to create value for the system as a whole.
Represent TCCC externally
· Operate as a senior member of the Region Franchises to represent in various business settings as required
· Represent the Company and the system to external constituencies (consumers, customers, government, the media, the community etc) in the Franchise Area.
Represent the Region in OU counsels, and providing input to OU deliberations that will benefit the OU as a whole.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor degree with more than 14 years business experience, among which min. 8 years in a managerial role, preferably in an international Company In depth understanding, knowledge and practical experience in consumer marketingIn depth understanding, knowledge and experience in bottling operations Has capability and authority to identify, act and execute agreed plans within the Franchise Areas With substantial latitude in determining how to accomplish goals. Lead the network team by exemplifying a leadership and growth mindset. Embrace an open-minded approach to working dynamically and collaboratively in the network, addressing challenges with discipline, accountability, courage, and influence.Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills in English.
