Senior Director, Global Commercial Development - Remote
Title: Senior Director, Global Commercial Development Location: Brisbane, California About Us: Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA), is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. Position Summary: The Senior Director will report to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy. This role will lead ex-US activities, primarily focused on IgAN, ensuring success both internally and with our potential partners. They will lead the development of commercial deliverables and prepare Vera to ensure a successful global launch and maximize product potential. This role will represent commercial on Product Development Teams and work closely with Customer Insights, Development, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and other key stakeholders. The role will also be responsible for coordinating with our partners and leading the internal ex-US Launch Readiness Team. The role requires excellent communication skills, leadership, and a proven ability to influence across the organization. Responsibilities: Lead the development of short- and long-term commercial forecast models, highlighting risks and opportunities, modeling various scenarios and multiple probability simulations, and triangulating with external stakeholder models (e.g., analysts). Ensure forecast objectivity and accuracy to achieve business objectives. Act as a collaborative partner and strategic advisor for brand and leadership teams; proactively engage with the brand team to help shape brand strategies and tactics while identifying risks and opportunities. Lead the exploration and development of advanced analytics techniques, utilizing a variety of real-time secondary and primary data sources to support the objectives of the Commercial team. Develop performance KPIs to clearly and quickly diagnose brand performance and assess strategic and tactical plans to drive greater business results. Partner with team members on data quality assessments and gap analyses, align business rules, and secure data sources that meet business needs. Perform data analysis to gain a deep understanding of business opportunities and challenges. Support earnings preparation, messaging, and business development opportunities as needed. Partner with and manage third-party vendors to meet business needs effectively and efficiently. Qualifications: BS/BA degree required; MBA and/or an advanced science degree preferred. 12+ years of diverse commercial experience (operations or sales) in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Deep technical and functional expertise in data, forecasting, and analytics. Strong understanding of business drivers, opportunities, and challenges. Ability to present risks and opportunities clearly and concisely. Strong cross-functional leadership skills and ability to influence without authority. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $234,000 - $278,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. At Vera, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
