Senior Director, Global Communications
Seeking an experienced, passionate communications professional to lead a team of rockstar communicators who are the day-to-day external voice of Guidewire. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, this role leads the development and implementation of global communications strategies that promote, enhance, and protect the Guidewire brand, while advancing our mission globally.

Working with a world-class team of Communications leaders.This role will oversee:Communications strategy - Identifying new horizons and defining workflows to streamline communications workflows while realizing Marketing and company goalsAnalyst relations - Ensuring that industry analysts understand Guidewire’s business approach, product vision, and ambition for the P&C insurance industryMedia relations - Identifying, pitching, and promoting Guidewire news in the form of customer stories, unique industry perspectives, and original content that’s relevant for global business/financial, trade, and technology outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Handelsblatt etc.Agency management - Identify, onboard, and oversee global Communications agencies Social media - Drive the social media program, including campaigns, technology and content, to maximizing engagement and maintain brand consistency across GuidewireBudgets - Manage budgets and forecasts across Analyst Relations and Public Relations programs globallyCrisis communications - With the VP of Corporate Marketing, serve as a Communications response lead should incidents arise Necessary skills and attributes:MS preferred in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, international relations, global studies, or related fields15+ years hands-on experience managing and mentoring dispersed global teamsExcellent attention to detail and temperament for working in a fast-paced, frequently changing, high demand, tightly resourced environmentExceptional, demonstrated writing and copy editing skills - samples requiredDeep knowledge of the insurance industry preferredWillingness and ability to travel (domestic and international) occasionally, and work after hours during emergency responsesA can-do attitude, flexibility, and ability to work through ambiguous and fluid situationsPositive, solutions-oriented approach to work and passion for teamwork and productive collaboration; ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholdersStrong, clear communications skills and ability to work across teams, disciplines, cultures, countries, and time zonesFluency in English required, ability to speak, read, and write in other languages (German, French) a plusFluency in Google Suite$214,000 - $320,000 a yearOur US base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
