Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Corporate Development & Strategic Initiatives to work closely with the VP of GTM Strategy, Corporate Development & Customer Operations to drive M&A strategy and execution, in addition to special company-wide strategic initiatives. This position is located at Rubrik HQ in Palo Alto, CA.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Development

Execute on Rubrik’s overall company vision and inorganic strategy, while working closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, HR, and Finance teams Actively identify and qualify new inorganic growth ideas from internal and external sources Develop business model and synergies with Product, Engineering, Sales and Finance Drive end-to-end execution of M&A. Lead or assist in all aspects of transactions, including strategic rationale, business case development, deal execution, and integration Analyze data to draw meaningful insights, and articulate findings thoughtfully to key stakeholders to drive business critical decisions Assist in creating presentations to the Board, executive management and key stakeholders

Strategic Initiatives

Partner closely with executive and leadership teams to identify organizational-wide strategic and operational initiatives Lead strategic and operational projects (e.g. launching a new product) with cross-functional teams to drive growth and execution excellence Own execution and performance tracking of strategic initiatives while ensuring initiatives are prioritized appropriately

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) with 10+ years of hi-tech experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, private equity or venture capital Demonstrated ability to think strategically and bring impactful strategic deals/initiatives to life from conception to execution Experience in leading teams to execute all aspects of transactions including direct experience in M&A negotiation, execution, and integration at a fast-growing, mission-driven company Experience working in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and other requisite internal teams in the development, review, and negotiation of complex transactions Strong analytical skills, proficient in performing in-depth financial and quantitative analyses related to mergers and acquisitions, OEMs and investments Ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior executives both internally and externally Track record of building and managing high-quality teams Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills; ability to portray complex concepts to diverse audiences Must possess knowledge of datacenter and security-related markets and ecosystems.
