Senior Director, Global Retail Electrical & Electronics
Reporting to the SVP Consumer Testing, Inspection and Certification, the Sr. Director Retail Electric & Electronics (E&E) leader will enhance value and gain market leadership for Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) business by building and leading a ‘unified platform’ that offers value-based solutions in a short turn-around time to UL Solutions’ retail-E&E customers through pro-active commercial engagements, simplified processes, and efficient project management. + Establish and communicate the vision and strategy for the retail E&E vision and strategy for TIC Consumer + Build the organization design and workflows to meet the high quality-short turn around delivery expectations of retail and E&E customers spread across multiple COUs within Consumer segment + Provide strategic direction to create a simplified, replicable ‘unified solutions approach’ through centralized regulatory, competitive intelligence, accountability and single point of contact + Identify and design ‘growth strategies and innovation’ to cater to evolving client demands and requirements beyond ULS’s traditional way of doing business. + Responsible for leading & driving initiatives, marketing campaigns, development of tools, driving process efficiencies to grow the business + Engage with G&SA leadership, COU leadership, Sales and Ops directors to build new programs and drive consistent and efficient global processes for seamless customer delivery and partnership strategy. + Guide and support change initiatives and new business models + Champion an engaged, inclusive and attractive work environment for UL employees with a winning culture + Responsible for revenue target of the retail -E&E within the segment + Provide support and direction for specific challenges that have major impact on the business + Sets SLAs for operations executions to stay competitive & customer centric + Single point of contact for customer escalations + Oversee continuous improvement projects to improve efficiencies + Ensure the right talent is in place to support the needs of the business + Interact with key customers and other stakeholders across COUs + Network with customers and key stakeholders + Engage in “deep dives” with big and complex customers + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, MBA preferred + 10 years of experience in engineering, electronics or retail industry + Senior leadership skills + Retail industry experience + M&A exposure/experience + Experience with complex customer interactions, products, and services + Track record of building strong people/teams + Global experience (culture, market, business practices, etc.) + Experience implementing significant organizational changes + Visionary, strategic thinker who leads the change in the market + Human and engaging, building a culture of trust, inspiration, drive and growth + Skilled at identifying both disruptive and sustaining innovations + Able to partner and lead partnership across region, matrixed, and cross-functional divisions/teams + Able to evaluate risk effectively and move forward quickly + Leads by example + Able to engage employees across all levels and backgrounds + Able to adapt and serve as change agent Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $210,000 to $280,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 30 % of the base salary and long term incentive plan of 30% of base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
