Honeywell is seeking a Senior\nDirector, Internal Communications, reporting to the Vice President,\nHuman Resources & Communications, for Honeywell Energy and\nSustainability Solutions (ESS) based in Charlotte, NC. This\nis an exciting opportunity for a senior leader who wants to be at the heart of\nHoneywell's transformation, the establishment of an enhanced performance\nculture, diversity hiring, and key elements of Honeywell's brand!
This individual will lead the development and execution of\nglobal internal communication strategies to drive employee\nengagement and alignment with the Company's direction. The individual will\ncoordinate an agenda across the ESS business units and\nregions, facilitating cross-business planning and holding all\ngroups to common processes and metrics along with high quality standards. The\nindividual will also participate in the long-term management of public affairs\nissues that affect the business, working in close partnership\nwith External Communications, Customer\nMarketing and Government Relations.
Storytelling experience and prowess is a must as this\nindividual will help guide efforts to consistently develop creative,\ncompelling, and human-focused content that connects Honeywell employees with\neach other, leaders, and the company’s strategic initiatives. Fluency in and\npassion for analytics is also imperative as we seek to measure and interpret\ndata that help us enhance our communication practices across the company.
The ideal candidate will be a\nconfident, self-sufficient leader with a minimum of 10 years of\nprogressively responsible experience leading organizations, with outstanding\nexecutive presence and business acumen, a strong process orientation, and\nthe ability to coach, develop and lead a team while influencing a larger global\norganization. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are\nrequired, verbal and written, with ability to communicate effectively\nwith a variety of groups and individuals. The candidate must have extraordinary\nability to work well with people at all levels, especially senior leaders,\nand demonstrated competence in a high-performance environment, with experience\nworking with business leaders and Communications leaders in\nmultiple regions.
The individual must have the highest personal\nintegrity and a strong personal commitment to diversity. Should be\ncomfortable working in gray areas and be able to effectively handle pressures\nand demands from multiple clients and competing priorities. Responsibilities include:
Develop and lead\nEES’s overall internal communications planning and strategies in\nsupport of employee engagement and the positioning of Honeywell as a\nleading energy and sustainability companySupport ESS’s\nbiggest initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes,\nand other transformation steps through innovative and\neffective communication plans that address the needs of varied\naudiences and stakeholdersDrive performance\nand provide coaching and leadership ESS Communications team to ensure\nthe communications function meets and exceeds expectationsRaise the bar on\nemployee messaging around benefits and the employee value\nproposition create messages that are simple, visually compelling and\nreadily understood by our global audiencesLead executive\ncommunications in support of the President and CEO of ESS and the\nfunctional leaders on his staff and quarterly global town meetingsWork closely with\nthe External Communications, Customer\nMarketing and Government Relations teams to promote the SPS\nbrand and its offerings, and to manage public affairs issues over the\nlong termSupport ongoing\npublication of news about ESS, employee achievements, and explanation of\ninitiatives and priorities on Honeywell's key internal and external news\nchannelsYOU MUST HAVE:
15+\nyears of demonstrated successful experience in communications in a\ncorporate or an agency environmentWE VALUE:
